Notable Bases/Builds on Past Versions of the Minecraft Server

I decided to make this page partly because I don't have any ideas for other pages, and partly because It's nice to be able to remember the old versions of the server and possibly in the future it might inspire me to restart the server again.

Generation 1 (Me, Sajan, Spooks, Zpond)

This version of the server didn't really see any huge or complex megastructures. Back then it was just a fun world to hang out on. That said, there were still some nice bases built.

Wool World (Built by Me):

This was a MASSIVE sheep farm I built and used to create giant statues of various things. All of the statues were empty except for the dragon egg, which had a wheat farm inside. The statue of the player is using my old minecraft skin, adapted from the original to fit the wool color pallete. There also used to be a lot more sheep than there are pictured here, because some of my friends had slower PCs than me, I had to slaughter most of the sheep only keeping 2 of each color alive.

Lighthouse Island (Built by Spooks):

Before the server eventually died, Spooks was working on a giant island with a lighthouse on it. I think he eventually lost motivation when the gathering of quartz from the nether eventually just became too much. Big scope has been the killer of many projects over the different versions. I would've loved to see it completed. It's like I'm an archeologist imagining the glory of a lost civilization's ruins.

Generation 2 (Me, Sajan, Spooks, Tyke)

This is the generation of the server where I first tried to get some more people on. We ended up breaking even though because Zpond left and a lot of the people I initially invited never joined.

Obsidian Pyramid (Built by Me)

This was one of the biggest projects in the history of the server. It's a giant 67 block by 67 block pyramid made of entirely obsidian. It took about 2.5 weeks of straight mining with an efficiency 5 diamond pickaxe to harvest enough. When I first built the pyramid, it turned out that I had accidentally made the sides of it an even number which made the top a square and wouldn't allow for a beacon to be installed. Luckily Spooks helped me out and we mined all of the misplaced obsidian in an afternoon.

Hillside Cottage (Built by Tyke)

Here's a nice one. This was Tyke's first version being on the server and he built this little house on the side of the mountiain. We used to decorate both his and mine bases with seasonal and holiday decorations. For Halloween I made carved pumpkins, candles, cobwebs, and I even made a custom banner pattern to allow for carved melons as well. When Christmas came around he made candy canes and put them around out bases. There's actually a secret room under the cottage, I inspired him to add it after I built the entire interior of my pyramid out of a series of secret rooms and corridors.

Forest Towers Base (Built by Spooks)

I couldn't capture the whole base with one screenshot. The base has two towers. One is made of oak, while the other is a mix of different kinds of woods including warped stem. Next to the wheat field and beneath the house, there's a hole that goes down about 100 blocks to a cave. The cave is partially decorated. I think it was going to be an expansion of his base before the server died. The inability to fully complete a base with a large scope is somewhat of a pattern with this server.

Generation 3 (Moon) (Me, Sajan, Spooks, Tyke)

This phase of the server was sort of strange. I developed a custom datapack to change the world generation to be that of the moon. Lunar landers generated on the surface to provide essential materials like trees and water. This was also one of the more short lived generations of the server. It only lasted about 2 weeks. Despite that, we still squeezed some builds in. Me and Spooks were basically the only ones active at all. Tyke joined once on the second day and was never seen again, Sajan joined towards the end and didn't really do anything but steal some stuff from my chests.

Space Shuttle (Built by Me)

This is the only base I ever made on this server. I think I built it in one afternoon. The inside has everything you would need; a bed, chests, an american flag, you name it! I made the design for the shuttle myself and I'm really proud. It took a lot of grinding for emeralds to be able to trade with villagers enough to get tools and enchantments to get all the quartz and blackstone. Other than that there's not much else to say.

Giant Pit in the Moon (Built by Spooks)

I don't actually know entirely what this was going to be. It didn't ever get finished (obviously) but I'm pretty sure there was planned to be a wall that encompassed the entire hole, and a robot in the middle. I think I'll see if I can find and concepts/screenshots of those and put them below so you can almost peice together how this base would've looked had it been complete.
